Sister Lakes, One Lake at a Time
Sister Lakes isn't one lake. It's a cluster of them around Keeler Township, spilling into Cass County. Two homes a mile apart can feel different depending on the lake, and that matters more than square footage. Who's Behind This
I used to live in Sister Lakes and still get back there all the time. When my wife and I started looking for a place of our own, we kept notes on lakes, roads, restaurants and who to call for what. Local businesses pitched in, and those notes turned into this site.
2026 update: We've put the house hunt on pause, so new posts are slow for now. Everything here is still up, and we'll pick it back up when we start looking again.

Dowagiac is a Cass County city of 5,721 people (2020 Census), with its own Amtrak station and trains to Chicago and Detroit. The name comes from a Potawatomi word meaning "fishing water," and the history of Dowagiac goes a lot deeper than most people expect.
